Ephesians 2:12-13 “ Remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. 12 It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.”Ĥ. 1 Peter 1:10-12 “ Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, 11 inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. Please don’t forget these great truths! As you walk with Christ for 5, 10, and 20 years, these memories are going to help you to keep your focus on Christ and His great love for you.ģ. I can now enjoy Christ and grow in intimacy with Him. I’m no longer seen as an enemy of God or a sinner. Sometimes I look back and think “wow I can’t believe He regenerated my heart!” God removed my old desires and gave me new desires for Christ. We deserved all the punishment in the world, but He instead threw it upon Christ. God sent His perfect Son to do what we couldn’t. However, God in His grace and mercy still sent His perfect Son to die on our behalf. Scripture tells us that unbelievers are dead in sin, enemies of God, blinded by Satan, and haters of God. ![]() One of the main reasons for this is that we don’t remind ourselves of the great price that was paid for us. Many believers are spiritually dry and their affection for Christ is dull. Remembering what God has done for you keeps that fire burning for Christ. Remembering how God saved me reminds me of His love, His faithfulness, His goodness, etc. ![]() When I reminisce on the moment I came to Christ it’s similar to me preaching the gospel to myself. This memory is something that you should constantly replay in your mind. It’s such a beautiful picture in our mind when we remember how God drew us to repentance and saved us. Some of my greatest memories are the ones that involve my Christian testimony. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart.” Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house? But they did not understand what he was saying to them. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.” Why were you searching for me?” he asked. Luke 2:48-50 “When his parents saw him, they were astonished. Luke 2:19 “But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart.”Ģ. We should also treasure and cherish the little things even though we don’t fully understand and see the full picture yet.ġ. ![]() She treasured things in her heart even though she didn’t fully understand. In Luke 2 we noticed that Mary treasured and thought about all that occurred and was said before her. Write things down daily and pray about them. One of the best ways to treasure the small things is by journaling. You might not know exactly what He is doing but you know something is being done. That is why it’s important to cherish the little moments on your walk with Christ. ![]() There are times when God is doing things and we might not understand it yet.
